Nix Examination

Overview
Nix Examination helps teachers create examinations, assemble curriculum-aligned assessments and produce printable examination papers, with support for different education levels.
Problem being addressed
Preparing examinations is time-consuming for teachers, and formatting papers consistently across subjects and levels is repetitive manual work.
Why it matters
Reducing that workload gives teachers more time for teaching, and consistent papers are fairer to learners.
Solution
A Laravel application for building, assembling and printing examination papers, aligned to curriculum and education level.
My role
Founder and developer. I designed and built the platform.
Challenges encountered
Modelling curriculum structure and education levels accurately, and producing printable output that behaves reliably in real classrooms.
Lessons learned
Education software has to be practical for a teacher under time pressure, not merely feature-complete.
Future direction
Extend assessment features, including marking support. Implemented capabilities and planned ones are kept distinct in the platform.
