Overview
Supreonix is the company I founded and lead. It develops digital products and delivers software and technology services, with work spanning education technology, digital platforms and technology infrastructure.
Problem being addressed
Small organisations and institutions in Kenya often need software that fits how they actually work, but off-the-shelf products rarely match local workflows, budgets or infrastructure.
Why it matters
Locally built software can be shaped around local constraints and needs, rather than requiring organisations to adapt to a product designed somewhere else.
Solution
A product and services company that builds digital products in-house and delivers software and IT services alongside them.
My role
Founder and Team Leader. I lead product development, identify technology opportunities, coordinate product initiatives, explore business and technology partnerships and manage early-stage company operations.
Challenges encountered
Building and running multiple products with a small team, and balancing client delivery against product development.
Lessons learned
Shipping a working product teaches more than planning a perfect one, and operating constraints shape architecture more than preference does.
Future direction
Continue developing the product range and the engineering practices behind it.
